從Rihanna的Unfaithful,Mario的Let Me Love You,再到Beyonce的十周冠軍單曲Irreplaceable,Ne-Yo在出道前便累積了不少暢銷作品,他的首支單曲So Sick也幾乎是我的all-time classic,事實上他兩張個人專輯都好聽的教人無法抵擋...

Ne-Yo幫Rihanna改版專輯譜寫的冠軍單曲Take A Bow堪稱是今年上半年我最愛的R&B歌曲,而一年一片的他也準時的交出了新作Year Of The Gentleman,首支單曲Closer帶來意料之外的House曲風(為舞廳砲製的Remix版本也是個驚喜!),接棒主打Miss Independent則在招牌的R&B曲風上輕抹電子色彩,讓人耳目一新!整張專輯當然也是水準之作,不過我打算先介紹這首近日讓我重播個沒完沒了的歌曲...

我得先說,我非常不喜歡Bassa Nova曲風,所以第一次聽到這前奏時我心裡不禁OS"不會吧?連Ne-Yo都開始唱起Bassa Nova?"不過,聽完我還是徹底被Ne-Yo收服了...拋開對Bassa Nova的成見,這首歌的前奏讓我想起m-flo的經典歌曲One Sugar Dream(那也是一首結合Bassa Nova跟電音的經典歌曲!),Ne-Yo的vocal一進來我便了解這是一首標準Ne-Yo歌路的歌曲,所謂Ne-Yo的歌路,不外乎就是情傷的癡心男子(ex:So Sick)被不專一的女生玩弄(ex:Go On Girl),或給另一半的專情宣言(ex:Make It Work),總之不脫好男人的形象...這一次Ne-Yo安慰起一個被甩的女生,副歌的歌詞寫的真好"I'll ask the sun to shine away from you today, so you can cry (If that's what you want)"我相信所有的女生聽了都要融化了...
